Sony Ericsson announces latest Xperia arc Android 2.3 smartphone

Sony Ericsson have today announced their first new entry of 2011 into their Xperia phone lineup. The Xperia arc will be an elegantly designed, candybar shaped smartphone with a thin body, slimmest part measuring just 8.7 mm. It boasts an extra wide 4.2″ multitouch ‘reality display’, with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine for ultimate multimedia experience.

On board is also Sony’s award winning Exmor R™ camera technology for much improved photo and HD video capture quality even in low lighting.

Sony Ericsson today unveils the new Xperia™ arc smartphone with cutting edge Sony technology and an exceptional multimedia experience on the latest version of the Android™ platform – 2.3. Xperia™ arc is the first of a new generation of Xperia smartphones to be announced in 2011.
